Our dogs have won multi BIG, RUBIS and in 2006 a BISS. In NZ we have set records by having, I believe the first Chinese Crested to win a Best In Show at an All Breeds Championship show.
Our dogs and their progeny have been recognised by Aust and International judges for their quality and type.
We imported Am & Aust Ch Gingery's Cheerio's from the USA, the first American Crested into Australia and then Ch Prefix Smoke On The Water Imp Sw. and Lohamras Plum Crazy Imp Sw.
We support Health Testing and are progressively DNA, prcd PRA testing our dogs and we endeavour to have our dogs eyes physically examined every two years.
We would like to thank George Sofronidis B. Sc (Hons)Manager of Animal Diagnostics Genetic Science Services for all the support and help he has give us and for answering every stupid question with humour and candour.
We have two home bred Australian Grand Champions; NZ Ch Xioma Fire In The Sky (Billy) and NZ Ch Xioma Sagebrush (Smudge).
Our latest darling is Xioma Golly Miss Molly, a stunning daughter of Fire In The Sky.

The Chinese Crested origins are not known but they have many similarities to the Mexican Hairless. The two types, the Hairless and the Powder puff often occur in the same litter.
The most popular of the hairless breed, the Chinese Crested are still very rare. These dogs are sweet, lively, playful and cuddly. They are exceptionally loving and likes to hug and smile. Affectionate with children. Children should be taught not to be rough with this breed as it is friendly, but it does not have the protective hair that other breeds have and can get injured easily. They are an entertaining companion. Intelligent and very alert. Puppies should be well-socialized and exposed to loud noises when young to avoid potential timidity. If its owners do not baby them, these dogs can grow up to be a very well-adjusted dog. They have an ability to perform tricks and are generally good with other pets. They are not barkers. Chinese Crested Dogs like to climb and dig holes. They are very affectionate and become very attached to their owner, they crave constant companionship. They make ideal pets for those in apartments and for the elderly.

Grooming- They are very clean, with no doggie odor and are not prone to fleas or ticks. Power Puffs need a lot more grooming. Daily brushing of the Powder Puff's long, fine, double coat is recommended, taking extra care when the dog is shedding. The wooly undercoat becomes matted if neglected. Bathe the Hairless frequently and massage a little oil or cream into the skin to keep it supple. These dogs shed little to no hair and are great for allergy sufferers.

Exercise- a regular playing session would be fine, but they do enjoy a walk as well.

Health- This breed is sturdy; the Hairless does need protection from the sun and will need a coat in the cooler months. They can also have a reaction to wool.
