About This Breed

The breed’s origins are from Tibet. The name terrier in their title refers to their medium size; they are not diggers or hunters. They are very intelligent and easy to train. A happy lively dog that makes a loving companion.

General Characteristics

Appearance: Medium sized body. Long coat covers their dark eyes, ears hang to the side of the head. Tail is coated and curls up and over onto the back.

Temperament: Outgoing, alert, intelligent and game; neither fierce nor pugnacious. Sparing of affection to strangers.

Characteristics: Lively, good natured. Loyal companion dog.

Colour: White, golden, cream, grey or smoke, black, parti-colour and tri-colours; in fact any colour except chocolate or liver.

Coat: Outer coat long, hair-like. Undercoat fine and woolly.

Grooming: Regular brushing is needed to keep the long coat knot free. Wash them when necessary.

Exercise: Daily walks and exercise.
