About This Breed

The Jack Russell Terrier is a type of a working terrier that goes into the earth after quarry. Since the early 1800’s they were bred for their stamina, speed and agility, which enabled them to hunt anything from rats to badgers.

They are tough little dogs and are usually happy and excitable chasing anything that moves. They are a smart and need firm but not harsh training from an early age. They settle into family life well and make good watchdogs.
