About This Breed

The Welsh Terrier was used as hunting dogs to hunt otters, badgers and foxes. Their smaller size also makes them useful keeping the farms and stables free of rats and other vermin. They never became too popular though as the hunters preferred dogs with white on them, so more visible in the fields.

They are an affectionate dog which is intelligent and easily trained. They make great company and enjoy working or doing things for you.
