About This Breed

This breed can be traced back many years; these dogs were depicted in early Egyptian carvings. The word “greyhound” is believed to be a corruption of “great hound” or “gazehound”.

Greyhounds have the intelligence to use their own initiative; they sometimes ignore what they believe to be pointless commands. When this occurs people are wrong to think they are dumb. They make very loving pets.
